ABOUT

HISTORY OF THE CAMP

The history of the mega camp dates back to 2018 when the very first Spekter camp took place. The Lammasmäe Holiday Centre was adorned with the colours of the Spekter, bringing together more than 1,000 participants. Campers had the opportunity to tinker in a variety of workshops, engage in sports activities, dance tribal dances and enjoy a lively concert.

In the meantime, Spekter has also been held virtually, as restrictions made it impossible to organise the camp in its traditional format. To that end, we came up with a solution and live-streamed four workshops at Sokka Holiday Centre, teaching participants how to set up a shelter, build a campfire, purify water and prepare a camping meal. The videos of all workshops are available on the YouTube channel of Kodutütred and Noored Kotkad. The day concluded with a delightful live concert.

On two occasions, Spekter was organised as a county camp, during which local youth leaders provided young people with memorable camp experiences.

CAMP ACTIVITIES

The organising team of the camp is dedicated to creating the best camp experience of the summer and providing enriching experiences for young people through fun challenges and the activities of Kodutütred and Noored Kotkad. The camp will include a variety of workshops, physical activities and, naturally, a concert experience to remember! The goal is to enjoy the summer and embark on adventures with both old and new friends because that’s what Spekter is all about: summer, friends and adventure!
